Ensuring Student Opportunity & Providing a Global Perspective

Empower tomorrow’s leaders to impact the world through life-changing scholarships and aid.  CUIB is student-centered university students are at the heart of CUIB. Students with the ability and ambition to attend the University will have the opportunity through both need-based and merit-based/competitive scholarship support, and aid-attract and retain the best qualified/exceptionally talented students in the country and Africa.

  • Many are first generation students and from modest backgrounds. Our record/history and capacity to help young people realize their potential is impressive, but there is more to do if we are to remain affordable to all who qualify. We need private support to provide extraordinary learning and innovative opportunities and to keep our doors open to the best and the brightest regardless of their financial means.
  • Prepare students for global citizenship by funding research grants, and expanding internship opportunities abroad and student leadership opportunities.

Building a Vibrant Student Community

Provide an extraordinary immersive living-learning environment.  Build on Campus Energy Efficient Housing for Students from across Cameroon & Africa- secured & safe environment; permanent access to electricity, water, internet, and dining services.

  • 400 rooms: 250 for girls and 150 for boys
  • Create a synergy among these opportunities: Students will thrive in a stimulating atmosphere that fosters working together, and personal growth.

Building Faculty Strength & Capacity

Empower world-class teachers and researchers to enrich the student experience. ( Students will study with some of the finest teachers, researchers, and mentors)  No university can achieve greatness without a distinguished faculty. CUIB places a premium on attracting and retaining faculty members (world class researchers, teachers and mentors) who are committed especially in some of the very innovative programs – to do life- changing work at CUIB.

The hope within this endeavor  is to:

  • Establish endowed faculty positions to allow/attract/recruit and retain some of the best deans and faculty members in Information technology, engineering, and agriculture; and
  • Endowed graduate fellowships and assistantships

Enhancing Learning and the Student Experience

Build a transformative facility with smart classrooms.  State –of-the-art facilities are needed to achieve the mission of an Entrepreneurial University.  CUIBF seeks philanthropic support to:

  • Build a state-of-the-art, high-tech integrated Science, Engineering & Technology Complex (SETC). With state-of-the-art laboratories, SETC will be a place where engineers, scientists, and innovators work alongside each other.

Fostering Entrepreneurship & Innovation-Business Park

Entrepreneurship and innovation drive modern economies, and CUIB must take an integrated approach and play a major role in supporting the innovators whose ideas create new businesses and jobs,  Through Empower and Impact Extraordinary, the Campaign for CUIB students seeks to:

  • Establish a Business Park, with a unified center (CERI) that will increase opportunities for entrepreneurship education, venture creations, and research commercialization, bringing additional economic and social benefits to the communities and country.
  • Help transform hundreds of innovative and fearless student ideas into the marketplace and thriving business, g. Elliot Ojong
  • Carry out Trade Fairs/Innovation Exchange: Helping innovators and investors find each other.
